How is he insulting 'god' when using his genius to help us all understand our origins? You must be one of those people who like to keep their gods small and easy to manage.  Much better than acknowledging the earth thriving alone amidst 100s of billions of universes and all those dead planets.

I'll use an example: If you or i were to get killed now or tomorrow or at any time, would we just be thought of as 1 of 6 billion people? Would every one just think "Oh it's only 1 out of 6 billion, nothing to worry about". No, the murderer would eventually be tracked down.
There for stopping any murders he may of committed in the near future.

If all of those 6 billion people thought like that, the human race would of probably gone extinct a while ago. It's probably the reason that people don't, is how we made it to 6 billion in the first place.
