  • One of the greatest works of classical music ever, and certainly among the best uses of minimalist-ish techniques. Is it just me, or do I hear inklings of "the Matrix" in this? Anyways, I love having Adams and other Minimalists as a refuge against my heavily 12-tone education.

  • @RandomTask3000 Thanks so much for watching! Now that you mention it I hear inklings as well...LOLOL..of course we both know who was first. I must add, these Newmann works are very satisifying to me and this is the music I hear in them. I share with you a heavily 12-tone education as well.

  • One of my favorite and most brilliant modern classical works for a full orchestra. Adams is simply masterful in his interpretation of this wonderful compostion!

  • @cosmiclight I'm so glad you enjoyed this work, thanks for watching. This one of the early recordings of John Adam's music when he was commisioned by the San Francisco Symphony, Edo de Waart, conductor,,,,it brings back memories of my student days at UC Berkeley...
