An experimental short film focusing on several themes: the power and abuse of symbols (in this case an engagement ring), how a camera ever shows only part of the truth and how the unspoken can be stronger than the spoken.
Deliberately dialogue-free to maximise accessibility as well as enforce a focus on action, the brief for Struck was to create a continuously surprising mystery that would force the viewer to question their interpretation and require re-viewings to settle on an interpretation that fitted. There is indeed at least one backstory that explains what happens in Struck but are likely more - what is your reading of the events?
Not for those who like their movie plots presented on a plate!
