Hello,
We have not had a chance to check out the CQ50 as of yet, but from what I know it uses SATA drives. I suggest taking a look at your original drive first to verify it's SATA. If yes, you should be able to replace it with a 500GB HD.

i have a compaq CQ50 and i wana know if it will still be sata and if it can hold 320 OR 500 gb HARD DRIVE
