@1999521 It is funny that you think it is funny.

The part from 5:28 was also played in the movie "His Majesty O'Keefe" starring the late Burt Lancaster at his most buff and swashbuckling! I saw the movie and loved the music so much but had no clue who had composed it - I was a young kid at the time. Took me years to find it. Thanks for the upload.

@NgaiOlaudah So Rachmaninoff is the 5th greatest you're saying... You can't leave out half of the greats and then say Rachmaninoff is the greatest.

Love me some Rock...er...I MEAN RACH...MANINOV! BROTHER SERGEI! OTHER THAN GERSHWIN, BRAHMS AND CHOPIN, AND GRIEG, THE GREATEST OF ROMANTIC COMPOSERS...in my humble opinion...Thanks!

@94jmcorrea Read a book about him. He actually came from a very religious noble family, and he also composed religous orthodox music (russian orthodox), including the famous "All-Night Vigil", which he considered one of his favorite compositions, and asked that it was played at his funeral.
Dear Sergei: if Aliens landed right now and said "prove your worth as a civilization or be vaporized instantly", I'd play this for them. I have not a shred of doubt that they'd nod their heads, give us the "thumbs up" sign and fly off peacefully, with the 18th variation playing in the background.
