Due to our irrigation water being cut by more than half we now are searching for water underground via an old water bore but unfortunately its full of mud.
Purging your borehole with air, would most probably solve the problem, however, you might have to re-case the hole with either pvc or steel casings down to the depth of the hole. Purging with air, entails bringing a drilling rig over the hole, loading the drill string into the hole and just flush the hole for about an hour or so. Upon pulling up, the driller would be able to tell you whether you need to re-case.
It is far cheaper generally speaking cleaning or purging a borehole vs drilling new.
