  • @zen031 As I said in my previous comment, men have been given leadership & responsibility of the family. I am a Muslim woman, also married, & I have no problem with this ayat. I know that my husband will not harm me even if he is following the orders of Allah in this respect. Sometimes chastisement in the form of a small beating (& the issue of what the Qur'an mean is cleared up the Sunnah, as are many other parts of the Qur'an) is the most effective way for us to realize our foolishness

  • @zen031 In Islam, men have more responsibility than women in the family. His duty is to have an upright, moral, & virtuous family...how is this possible when a man's wife won't even listen to him? Of course both should do their best to cooperate & negotiate, but there are times when they will disagree. Men are the head of the family; they have to try to do what is best for the family. When you don't have defined leadership, any organization/group will fall apart, especially families.

  • May Allah Give you Best Regards. Sheikh yusuf Estes

الله يعطيك أطيب التحيات. الشيخ يوسف إستيس

  • mashaALLAH may ALLAH bless you shaikh Yusef Estes. love his speaches calms me down greatly.

  • This is really true. I have heard people disrespecting their parents in my country. Then I heard from someone that those parents had done the same with their parents.

  • @zen031 i apologize bro... but it just pisses me off... and people make mistake, no one is perfect... that is how life is.. and of course that is not a major sin # some ignorant people just point islam without having knowledge what the religion is... by the way,.......

  • I am fully aware that "the west" has its own problems too. I'm not denying it.

p.s. Saying "shit" in one sentence and then "salaam aleykum" in the next is not very nice (and I'm using an euphemism here). :)

  • in my eyes, i have seen a woman gettin beaten up by her boyfriend/man. i even felt sorry for the girl. that was in london. non muslims talking shit about muslim women... first of all, sort out your problems.

SALAAAAM ALIKUM, GREAT VIDEO - MAY ALLAH REWARD YOU, SH. YUSUF

  • @zen031 YEAH i would do that if that happened to me.

  • And this that I wrote is nowhere near the attacking. It's just that I have a different opinion.

Seems that you are a practicing Muslim. Do you dip your fly when it falls into your drink? ---> "Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said "If a house fly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease."

    Sahih Bukhari 4:54:537"
