Until a company like Canonical actually becomes a paid for desktop OS product, it will always be half baked for average end users.
Open Source is ok BUT, you will never get a serious quality product for free...

@BryanLunduke However, you are correct in that I'm from an older generation. As you can see, I TYPE my words not TEXT them. But todays kids can't even write a proper paper...go figure?

@BryanLunduke Bryan, it's not that I think it's a bad idea, I'm just looking at the long term effect on developers. I kind of see it like everyone leaving a Linux platform for MAC or WINDOWS and then complaining why they have virus or how come they cannot get connected to a network. It would be better if the learn the foundations of how a system works instead of JUST thinking about productivity.
