  • Greetings I have been searching for a field mixer that has professional qualities and yet does not cost $2000. This Mixer is probably the closest as to what I can afford. I am spending a lot n the recorder possibly the Marantz 671 to use with this. How is this mixer since you posted this video? Are you satisfied with its results?

  • @123andcut Yes Im very satisfed, I used this for a film shoot Flight 33 Productions out of Sherman Oaks Calf.

I used it with a wireless Lav mic and Boom mic, and worked great Im a Recording Engineer and im very picky about my sound and this unit woked well for me and the coast is great.

It would be nice to get a sound design 702T but 2495.00 is alot of money maybe when I get a movie gig I'll invest in one. but for now Im happy with the FMX 42. I lke the tone Gen. and the talk back feature.

  • I have been looking on line at the specs on the different Field Mixers, I have done some ENG work for a nationally syndicated TV show and must say the Azden FMX 42 has incredible specs at any price point. I am sure I will get one for my next gig

  • Thanks for the advice Bruce!

  • thanks for the info I just may get this mixer
