umm, actually a number of different airlines bought their airplanes from Airbus, the malfunction doesn't actually have anything to do with JetBlue.

Cut-rate airline??? I'll have you know that you are probably much safer on JetBlue than on American or Delta, because the bigboys are slashing costs everywhere in an effort to return to profitability.
In addition this landing gear malfunction has occurred about 9 different times on Airbus A320s on many different airlines!

This pilot has iced water running through his veins. Notice how he keeps it on the rear wheels and brings it down to a much slower speed before facing the inevitable contact! The jet bearly veers from the centre line of the runway as he uses the defective undercarriage as a brake to slow the 80 tonne machine to a standstill. I salute him!
