My dad also had ALS and was only diagnosed to live 6 months. Well, he ended up 16 more years after that! He was definitely a fighter just like your mom. Unfortunately he passed away 3 years ago (my Junior year of H.S.) and never got to see me graduate. I was too young to really remember back when he was able to walk and talk. He was on a vent for a good part of those years, yet he lived in our house till the end and I got to take care of him like you and your family did your mom. Stay strong!

keep it up!!!! kellie gives others hope! i lost my dad in May 2012 at age 57. my dads ALS started in his neck, they gave him about 1-3 years and passed on his 3rd year.
