You guys shouldn't get mad at people for voicing their opinions against Springsteen's message here, when the only reason he can even sing this song is because of free speech.
I am as big a Bruce fan as it gets, but I happen to disagree with some of his songs, and this would be one of them.
If the US did not intervene, there would never be a "Last to Die", because civilians would continue to be killed by things such as roadside bombs, etc.

It is appointed unto man once to die, after that the resurrection.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
I am blown away by the many war-related charity foundations and organizations that Bruce Springsteen supports. You can ignorantly judge him, but I think you need to do some research. You will be amazed at all of the Iraq, Vietnam, and other war related medical assistance programs that he supports.
People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

its unamerican cause the song SUCKS!!!
-
I wonder whether the smiling crowds understand what this song really means. This song is about unfortunate deaths of soldiers in two current wars.

Time moves forward, and this song will do the same...it'sa 2007 release, and it will become a future year/decade song of not only protest yet one of hope.

Not only is it our right to question our government, IT IS OUR FUCKING DUTY TO! When the government is screwing up the people are supposed to fix it... However, America's view of democracy has become so distorted that we are slowly moving towards a point where the only way to fix it will have to be all out revolution.

Amazing song!!! The Boss!!!

I envy and hate the people there. They aren't real fans but they are so lucky just to be there

Only bruce!!!

Today someone told me this song is thoroughly un-American, since it criticizes the policies of a wartime government. Frankly, this is protest. This is what the founding fathers WANTED us to do. Nothing is more American than criticizing the government, plain and simple. The real anti-patriots are the people who sneer at those who speak out for what they believe.
