What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine, which recognizes the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Thus Osteopathy is a holistic treatment. People see an osteopath for neck and beck pain, headache, mobility issues as well as for pregnancy issues, sport injuries and internal problems like period pain. Osteopaths treat people of all age groups. The hands on treatment includes massage, stretching, repetitive movement, mobilization and manipulation.

In this video Melanie Alexander from Natural Therapy Pages TV interviews Rachael from Central Sydney Osteoapthy.

  • This was really informative. I always wondered what the difference between an osteopath and a chiropractor was. I think I will try out an osteopath.
