@BurntByTheMoon44 yes, i use the thumb to pluck the g string(for the g chord) and my pointer to strum upwards. Good luck learning!

okay i'm just learning the guitar, and to tell you the truth, it's not going so well...haha.

but this is one of my favorite songs by Bright Eyes and it seems pretty simple though the strumming part i'm having a little trouble with. is it that you use one finger to strum down and a different finger to strum up?

don't make fun! haha I just have no other way to figure this out for myself
