Rainbow Six Vegas was released for the XBOX 360 and PC in November of 2006 (June of 2007 for PS3) and was the fifth R6 game in the series (not including expansions)

Like Rainbow Six 3 you see your weapon on screen in a 1st person perspective but Vegas adds a new "cover" system that allows your character to "cling" to walls. When you take cover around a corner or behind a barricade the perspective will change to a 3rd person view and you can blind fire around or over obstacles. This was a huge addition to the series and gives the game a much more action packed feel. Probably a good thing considering Vegas was the first Rainbow Six game to debut on a console before the PC.

I mainly wanted to show the game running in native widescreen because at first it didn't have any 16:9 resolution options. It seems only after the game was updated with a patch that we can get widescreen resolutions. Nice.

  • Isn't this also on PS3?

  • @ultimateshadowx9 Yes as I mention in the description it came out on PS3 but later the next year.

  • to be true you made your self look like 9 year old kid comparing cod4mw to r6 vegas

  • @CrAzY3AGL3 Yeah okay except I wasn't really comparing the GAMES themselves since they're different types of FPS games and I was just referring to the graphics and how I remembered them all these years later.

  • You think modern warfare pushed DX9 to its limits and had revolutionary graphics for its time? Have you ever played crysis? Even on an XP-computer in DX9-mode it looks WAY better than MW, and it too was released late 2007.

  • @JonteP0nte Good point but when Crysis came out and I had a Dual Core with an 8600GTS I could only run Crysis on medium but I could play MW on Extra High so it was way better for me!

  • How are the servers online?

  • They did a bad port on the Playstation 3.

Back then most of the Multi platform games comes out on the Xbox 360 1st, then about a month later (about) they release not so good port of the games to the Playstation 3. Sony had gotten mad at the develpors after a while and brought the hammer down!

People did not spend $599 on the Playstation 3 just to play games that runs better on the Xbox 360 (cost about $399 at the time).

  • Ubisoft is the MOPAR of game companies haha.

  • Nice pickup up bro! I loved Value Village when I was living in the Seattle area.

  • You must have pretty powerful PC for running game with high settings and fraps at the same time. And picture is better than my gamepay video recorded with fraps.

  • @MN12BIRD Yeah, but in many areas Crysis looks awesome even at medium settings! Perhaps you couldnt crank up the AA etc, but the shadows, physics and overall graphics still looks better even at medium IMHO.

  • @MN12BIRD the fact is there was more advanced games before cod4 but one way or another my bad mate :p
