This is helpful. I'm just starting out with the hammer throwing. Thanks for posting this clip.

Much, much appreciated, especially the comment/explanation regarding speed. I'm just getting into this and the increasing acceleration vs. big last-minute push would have eluded me for a long time.

Looks good, but please get a longer shirt.

any tips on the 28lb and 56lb for distance. and 56 for height?

those spikes are not adequate. if that's a #22 hammer that's a nice throw

where do you get light hammers? is there some where that sells them? please let me know(uk)

i wish i had seen this before i competed in my first games lol
I didnt get when you wrote speed and not power. Did you mean speed and not force?? As the power generated normally increases with speed.

Semantics a little. :) From a physics standpoint, you're right. What I'm talking about is getting out of the mindset of getting a huge last-second pull. You want to be steadily accelerating the hammer head. Head speed on the hammer is EVERYTHING. Long arms might make for slower winds, but the head of the hammer itself is way faster.

Nice tutorial. Would like to see more like this but with brighter lettering.
