This is one of my favourite tunes, and it's one of my warm up tunes "for me"! It has a lovely range on the flute, from bottom D right up to second B and has a strong internal rhythm.
The first time I heard this was in "The Favourite" in Holloway, London; Johnny Duffy, from Sligo, used to walk in on his lunch break, take the fiddle from behind the bar and play it. We had some great sessions together.
