yes the saw is a bit blunt and i took my time. this is from a few year ago so im not an expert. im still alive and not one accident to my name (touch wood) so ha. shut up with the oh your gonna die. who cares how long it takes. im not a forester, i get paid by the hour. slow and steady wins the race. if anything causes accidents its being hasty! being good at something take practice. i have my wits about me and thats what you need to stay alive

  • 4,26 mn for cutting a small tree for a lumberjack....No comment !!!

You have a very bad sharpening.

  • pah, wider then the guide bar aint a small tree and i aint no lumber jack, im a trainee arborist felling a small area of woodland for a shitty car park. perhaps it was my reluctance to do the job that made it take so long???

  • I have been a Professional cutter in Great Lakes hardwood stands for many years now, with a perfect safety record. I define a "leaner" as a tree that has more than a 15 degree tilt. You got it down, But one should never stand in the fall path of a tree, even after being notched, nor should ANYONE else be on the ground within a minimum area of 1.5 times the height of the felling tree. Perhaps I would suggest a larger saw and longer bar next time. I'd have it down in less than 2 by the way.

  • Oh well fair ply govner, i honestly do apprsiate advice, i have been a trainee arborist for all of 6 months. so mistakes are to be expected . i recorded this originaly to learn by watching myself and my mistakes. I havent done my medium tree ticket so am not used to doing a double sided sink cut.

Less than two! Yeah with your big fat machinery.

Anything else i idi wrong? I sure noticed my posture is terrible.

  • It took you 4 minutes and 20 seconds to fell one small tree? And it wasn't even a leaner?? There's just so much to comment on I wouldn't know where to start... At least you got it to hit the ground!

  • 4.20 isnt that long. it was wider than the guide bar so not that small and it was a leaner hence the split level and high lift wedge. . I agree i made mistakes but id like to see you do it matey.

  • Sharpen your saw and stop swinging it about like an air guitar.

  • wow, look at all that dust fly, sharpen your chain , and felling a tree only takes 3 cuts, each cut not even 10 seconds in length
