Just checking to see if your favorite guitar actually sounds as good as you think or if something new may be in your future after you simply HEAR it for the first time instead of dismissing it because of what brand it is. Try this test.....have a paper numbered 1-18....listen to each short clip and rate the actual TONE of the guitar and see if you like it or hate it and then find out what guitars produced your favorite TONES and go try one of those out to see how you really like it. This is simply a BLIND TEST. You hear better when you can't see the guitar. lol

  • thankyou!

  • @Icheonly My pleasure my friend.

  • awesome video too bade i can't like it

  • @ilovegemgem Thank you very much! Yeah, there are just too many jokers that just love to hate, so....I don't give them a chance to. lol

  • I blindly kept score the whole way through and narrowed it down until number 15 won for me. Now I've always been partial to Gibson, as I tend to play more hard, distorted rock, which sounds better on a Gibson to me. But I've always thought clean, bluesy stuff sounded better on a single coil. So naturally, more of the Fenders held higher scores in this demo, but 15 maintained that thick, warm Gibson sound I like but had the single coils which made the clean bluesy licks sound better. Logical win.

  • @MotorTourerPA SUPERB PICK! Easily one of my favorites. I currently own 9 of those at the moment and am always looking for more of them. Such and unreal guitar that doesn't have a bad thing on it. Just a great axe that was shunned by the Gibson fans for sounding too much like a Fender and the single coils, and the bolt on neck etc. They didn't care that it was a great axe. Then Fender fans hated it simply for the decal on the headstock. Lots of dumb people that rely too much on the decal.

  • @gibsonplayer81 Isn't that a great guitar? I think that with everybody finally giving in to the Les Paul Traditional Pro with the push / pull coil splits, that folks might actually be ready to accept these guitars. To try to release them again would be a worthy gamble I think. I've been looking for more of these too and I'm still the proud owner of just the one. I've found a couple, but people keep ripping the pickups and electronics out of them. WHY? LOL Great axe! Love that guitar.

  • I want your '93 Gibson LP Studio Lite MIII!!!!! I've been looking for one ever since I played one back in '94 or '95. Not sure if it was a MIII model though. I know it was a studio lite and it had the 3 p'up's, hum-single-hum and 5 way selector. I do not remember it having the little switch to select between single coil and hum. It was an awesome guitar and I've been kicking myself in the butt ever since that day for not buying it.

  • @KevinRexrod Generic answer. How about Fenders with humbuckers, Floyd Rose Tilt back Jackson style headstock and 12" Radius neck and then the Gibson Stratocaster (yes...it is a real axe). There are easily a hundred different Gibson and Fender guitars that don't fit your profile. There are as many Super Bright, single coil Gibson guitars as there are dark, heavy metal Fender guitars. So, way too much of a generalization.

  • Gibson,s have a rather "dark and deep" tone, Fenders have more a "sharp and more treble" tone, Gibson guitars have a thicker body and a "glued on" neck and a slight tilted headstock and humbucker pickups, Fender guitars have a thinner and contoured (Stratocaster and Jaguar) body with a bolt on neck and single coil pick ups. That,s the major difference in tone
