  • I wish people would stop bitching about the art. = = It's rare to find good anime that doesn't have the huge KAWAII DESU eyes, or where everyone is fabulously gorgeous. People have got to start appreciating different art other than average anime style. = =

Rant aside, I'm loving the anime so far~ The manga was fantastic, and I was absolutely thrilled to find out it was being turned into an anime~!

  • I think this is pretty cool....love the laid back art which reminds me of mushishi ...some of u kids are probably just used to watching shounen anime...I prefer the seinin anime/manga :P

  • @loveanddarknessful

That sounds retarded, and there are many animes like that( stupid storyline of 2 boys fighting over an annoying girl) which is for little kids like yourself (at least your brain is). Not everything in life is about SEX or romance.

  • Yaichi is so cute

  • cant thier be sex romance every good anime needs some love and action like two guys fight over the same girl over and over again that sounds like a good anime to watch

  • From the moment that i saw Mt. Fuji on the intro this anime had me hook, line, and sinker. What can i say about House of Five Leaves? Well, if you're into rock'em sock'em action, over the top super sayan powers, and bombastic fanatic humor, this anime is not for you. However, for anyone who likes a good old fashioned story of espionage, deceit, betrayal, reconciliation, and friendship, please enjoy. This anime was my favorite of 2010 and in my overall top 10.

  • Damn, I LOVE this fucking art style. It kind of reminds me of mine with more finesse to it. Fascinating story too, definitely watching more. Very different than the usual 14-year-old boy with hidden powers saves the world bullshit. Good shit.

  • The ending theme is really great!

  • My review 6.5/10. However, this is hindsight because I haven't watched the whole season. What was lacking for me was the music (melancholic as expected but quirky), sound-effects, and fluency (fight scene). The pros would be the plot is OKAY to me (a bit out of the usual with a timid samurai). Art design is stellar (beautiful expressions). Colors are comparable to Samurai Champloo (washed out and water paint-esque if not). Dialogue isn't too deep or immersive but fit the characters in persona.

  • Wow, I've only watched three minutes so far, and I LOVE the art.

It has a sketchy, natural feeling to it- as though someone captured bits of real peoples lives and froze them in time, to watch over and over. The glint of an eye, the slant of a limp hand- it feels so natural.

This is why I love seinen.
