Sweet sound of the 1935 Alfa raced by Scuderia Ferrari and once driven by Nuvolari. This is from 2002 Palo Alto California Concours.

  • I'd prefer to hear the engine sound to the exhaust sound - next time hold the camera/mike near the engine to hear the gear drive whine, etc

  • Anything else you'd like me to get for you next time I go to a car show, eh bunky?

  • @alfistii1 I'm not making a point out of it, but it's no "cavilina", it's Cavallino (Cavallo= horse, Cavallino= small horse). Cheers, mate

  • @sohndi ; Enzo Ferrari started his career at Alfa as a driver, he then became race

team manager and later added the cavilina Rampante to the sides of the Alfa's.

Of course after the war he raced his own cars under the Ferrari name..

  • nice sport car!

  • Is this the car that raced in the Dunedin New Zealand street race a couple of years ago?? Remember watching and being in awe of both the car and driver, arms sawing away to contend with the short track here..fantastic to see and hear!

  • This is my grandpa's Alfa Romeo Tipo C. It's super loud, and dangerous to race around a circuit, but he does it anyway!

  • Alfa Romeo Boyle Special With Wilbur Shaw at the Wheel won Indianapolis in 1940.

  • Yes,but I don't know if Alfa Romeo ever took part in the Indy 500,they mostly were competing in Europe.

    Respect to your uncle.

  • Great To Hear the sound of a 1935 Race vehicle , My Uncle Kelly Petillo Won The Indy 500 In 1935 in the Gilmore Speedway Special Car #5 , Wetteroth, Offenhousier he passed away in 1970
