Since 1906 children in need have found a summer refuge on the shores of a small Laurentian lake. Camp Chapleau is operated by the Old Brewery Mission in Montreal Canada. Images in this video are primarily from the pre WWII photo archive but the role of the camp remains as vital today as it was then.

  • i miss camp chapleau so much a hate who ever closed it.:(

  • i also went there for 3 years and want to work there in the future since now im too old to actually go as a camper... awesome place.

  • My god I can't believe theywant to close it !! I spent at least 4-5 summers there, My mother ( Mrs Moye) used to cook at main camp. She has just recently passed away but would be devastated to hear this. My father (also passed away) John Moye, used to cook the turkey dinners on christmas at the mission. What a sad day indeed.

    *shakes head*
