When he toured with the Steep Canyon Rangers of North Carolina, Martin might;ve gotten top billing BUT the best talent is in his backup band. He picked the Rangers because he has his solar-powered home (one of many mansions) in nearby Lake Toxaway. Listen to SCR by themselves, you'll hear the real talent (and actually, Steve acknowledges that himself)
Surely filled with raw talent, but my experience from seeing lots of live performances leaves me feeling that he rambled through the song with no cohesive effort to include the great band..........a sure sign of tenseness, and musical immaturity.

Great performance. That's Brittany Haas on the far right, playing fiddle. A YouTube search for her will net some pretty cool hits.

I'm proud to say my aunt designed Steve's album case!! It has a VERY cool, unique, creative, 3D design. :-)
