You join the cast in the middle of the school year. Brooke has recently broken up with her boyfriend, Lucas because she fears getting hurt by him again. Regardless of the fact that she broke up with him, she's still upset by the idea that he and Peyton (brooke's ex-best friend)are hooking up behind her back.
She tells Haley, who is shocked.
Rumors begin to circulate that brooke is pregnant, and Lucas confronts her and asks her if it's true.
All of the rumors force Brooke to remember a lot of memories she had with Lucas, which reminds her of why she was angry with him, and why she broke it off.
Lucas pleads friendship with her.
