@StoneChords I will!

@xxleamellonxx Formidable! Please tell her "Bonjour et merci" from a fan in NYC who met her in the early 90s and helped her shop for RollerBlades for herself and family on the Upper West Side. She is among my all-time favorite singers. Merci!

I normally don't have a high tolerance for opera, but when I heard her sing 'Tristes Apprettes'...wow. Goosebumps. I'll listen to her sing ANYTHING. She's not "opera-ish" (IMHO), with all the trilling and over-singing. She's just beautiful. i can't describe how her voice makes me feel. Sigh.

many many thanks.
Another excellent rendition of that moving song, in a very different timbre, haunting rather than tender, is the one with Mingardo

Just brilliant, everyone post more Mellon I'm a recent disciple - fantastic!

La Mellon has this unique clarity and a perfect pronunciation of any language mixed with the most soft, balanced and passionate voice tone, (both solo and with vocal ensemble) When you listen her you don't ever want to hear again the same piece but with her, (like this one) what a passionate expresiveness!) Thank you, I wish there were a video too =(

She's my aunt :) i get to listen to her sing in the kitchen when i go back to France!!
Fortunately I saw her singing an Bach's Oratorio in Seville. Final aria, with flute acompagnatto, it was full of erotism... if I was the flautist I'd had a bone.

I've loved Agnes' voice for many years. This is the first time I see her (semi) live. I am so happy that you posted this on YouTube. Agnes is in the best of her voice right now. I wish there are some video recordings of her singing in the eighties: Purcell, Charpentier etcetera.
