Lol when you look at the power switch at 2:00 and for a little bit it looks like there's a face in the light...

can you get the straight up laser line effect without fog (like at 6:40)? i just bought one....and i love the straight up streams (i like the patterns too but i like the classic beams) but the place i throw parties wont let us use fog...

@deejaycrazycraig I agree with you 100% because one thing is giving a good light/laser show and another is blinding innocent people who came to see your show.... I would not like to be so careless as to cause some one permanent lost of vision to me is just no fair...! !

what dmx software or hardware are you using with this unit & other lights you have?

U just sold this laser dude. Thank u for the demo. I wish there was a demo for all the lighting gear out there as good as this one.
i feel for you guys down in the states being stuck with 4.9mw lasers... up in Canada.. i can use a 1W laser.. WITH NO VARIANCE...

As I mentioned in the description.... "The unit contains a 40mw green and a 60mw red diode." plus I have another video on here (Laser Showcase #1) with a fixture totaling 260mw in power. The variance is not terribly difficult to obtain and ensures that the operator has at least glanced at and acknowledged basic safety guidelines for public operation. This is not a bad thing, IMO.

does it do any sweeps? like one fan shaped beam moving across the room? good review thanks for your help!

No, the storm only does that "starburst" type of patterns.... it is not meant to be a scanning laser and doesn't have the mechanicals to do so. If they did make this a scanner that could produce fan shapes, they would be forced to reduce the power of the diode down to make it Class IIIa compliant. Right now, they get away with a high powered laser inside because they optics split the available power amongst hundreds of beams. Hope that answers your question and then some.... :-)
