This is part of the Forbidden Island's ongoing indie band series. Saturday afternoon playing in a matinee show on June 12, 2010 "the Island" featured the worlds greatest surf band, the SLACKTONE! These talented guys played to a packed house at Forbidden Island Tiki Lounge, Alameda, CA. and, what a show it was, the audience went surf/Tiki crazy over them!

I had the pleasure of doing a two HD camera shoot of this fantastic surf band with Brokken Wralstad being assistant HD camera. This is some of my better camera, lighting, editing of a LIVE music video where all you get is one take and two cameras! Feel the vigor of the video as it moves you!

Let's just say I was inspired to do this music video and got put in a hypo-trance by Dave Wronski's mesmerizing guitar, Dusty Watson's beating in over double-time drum and percussion licks and the amazing rhyme-tic walking bass lines of Sam Bolle.

Everybody seems to DIG the "SLACK'" surf-retro, jazz-excursion sound style of music which, made for a wonderful afternoon, with tropical/Tiki drinks (which the Forbidden Island is known for) brimming all afternoon with many a pleased Tiki patrons!
