DALAI LAMA. This movie invites us for an unique conversation with the Dalai Lama in His house in Dharamsala, North-India. The winner of the Nobel Prize for Peace and Spiritual Leader of the Tibetan community in exile tells us in an intimate way about His life. Adjacent to it His younger brother, Ngari Rinpoche, tells us the story of their flight from Tibet in 1959. The First minister of the Tibetan government in exile, Samdhong Rinpoche, explains how the Dalai Lama has started with the modernization to make the transfer from the last theocracy in the world to a worldly democracy. In this DVD videos and archive images are alternated. The return to the past helps to better understand the present situation in Tibet. The country has been dominated for decades by the Chinese occupiers.

INSIDE TIBET. The memoires from Heinlich Harrer were an international bestseller and the inspiration source of Brad Pit´s movie Seven Years in Tibet. Heinrich Harrer (1912-2006) was a mountain climber, author, explorer and friend of the Dalai Lama. The sensational discovery of the diaries which were kept by Harrer in the years ´40 and ´50, give us an unique view on the daily life in Tibet in the middle of the twentieth century. It´s a revelation with many surprises, from which some are shocking. This English spoken documentary, produced by ZDF International, deals with the past and present of Tibet. Furthermore, the statement that the Chinese politics leads to the destruction of Tibet is investigated. When quality control isn't a priority in China (people need freedom to speak out to ensure this) then naive companies like Fonterra will continue to get burnt by investing in china.

there are just way too many foreign companies have invested in china and china's stabilization is a key of their success. it really does not matter how evil the communist party is, it has provided a protective environment for foreign companies to make money and stabilization of world economy. if china collapses (which gurantees tibet independence), the world's economy would go down with it.

u know what is funny? the whole free tibet campaign because tibetan exiles have no leverage in this negotiation. they have no guns, arms, money or men.  no country has ever supported tibet as an independent country. even usa only regonizes one china policy. keep wasting ur energy in this campaign that only has served as a tourist advertisment for tibet (which benefited the chinese).

we are talking about different things. u are talking about tar, but I am talking about the great tibet of dalai lama's dreams. the great tibet consists areas of 1/6 of china's territory and live different races such as muslims, mongolians and hans that have lived in the area for centuries. if those people must leave because they are not tradional tibetan according to dalai lama, then it would be disastrous.

I've seen figures of 7 million Chinese and 6 million Tibetans in Tibet.

I suggest you do some more research into the population of Tibet. Or find a source for your 40 million.
