Legotown Tour - All Around Tyler's Lego Town - 2007 City

While still pictures are better for details, this is a reasonably comprehensive tour of Lego Town. There are several big incidents ongoing at the time of the tour and there are a few prominent buildings absent (they're in my secret workshop for "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" style renovations-- rewards Tyler can earn for good behavior/etc. at school). Nonetheless, this gives a taste of the size of town. He'd be happy to explain in more detail if there is demand for specifics-- and maybe next time we'll take a chopper ride out to the oil rig (not shown in this video).

All sets were purchased new in their time. You can find many on ebay now and then or bricklink. Most of the oldest ones were purchased in Europe in the 1980s.

Agreed. The older method was to use existing pieces to create something. Nowadays, too often, Lego simply makes a new piece. Not nearly as creative and a lot harder to rebuild the sets into something different.
