  • I wish someone would explain to me why Baz Lurhmann is supposedly such a genius. God knows Australia and Moulin Rouge were insufferable rubbish

  • Germaine, I'm tipping you have had the same surname for all your life. Who would want to marry a sour bitch like you!

  • @russelljenkins69-Whoa,go easy there mate.Germaine Greer is like Jimi Hendrix, and the Scissor Sisters....proper British Royalty.

    Shut yer Lamington hole.

  • @russelljenkins69 Yes, yes they did.

  • Baz Lurman makes tacky glossy films ... never been a fan

  • What a fucking bitch! She has spent more time in england in her life than australia. She ovbviously had her eye's closed when she went to film. We have not destroyed our country, Nulla stopped the heard of bulls not because he had magic powers but because if she were paying attention early the drover said that when faced with a stampede the only thing a bull will fear more than a man on a horse is a man on his own two feet, and they did not reuse fucking shots through the film.

  • Agreed about Indonesia Outlook. Although I'd just note that Americans make a point of using the term 'Asian' to describe every ethnic group located in Asia. In the UK we tend to separate two main Asian racial groups. We reserve the term 'Asian' for those from the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, to put it rather ineloquently people with 'brown' skin, and the label 'Oriental' is most often used for those from China, Japan, Korea, and so on, essentially those with epicanthic eyes.

  • @PurushaDesa

I would think Oceania to be a non-geographic, more general term for the South Pacific region as a whole, comprising Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and the various Pacific island nations. Both terms tend also to exclude Indonesia, which on a purely geographic and biological standpoint (in terms of its florae and faunae) displays significant overlap of both South-East Asian and Australasian features. Historically, culturally and politically, though, it is undeniably Asian.
