Siri is an amazing inovation from Apple. Exclusively on the iPhone 4s, Apple made a huge splash by bringing intelligent voice recognition to the smartphone market. Siri can set reminders, answer text messages, and get the weather with ease. However Apple has yet to tap into the true potential of Siri. What do you think the future of Siri holds? My vision is in the video above.

  • The app developer would have to incorporate this not apple. Some of this is a little less practical (Play Breaking Bad wouldn't work if you had Netflix and a Breaking Bad video downloaded), but the system preferences and social network integration would be good

  • @lynchdj But apple needs to open up Siri allowing devs to tie their apps in. Once they open up some API's, devs can integrate anything they want.

  • Michael, I've been watching you for a long time. I just wanted to congratulate you. Your videos have had a very positive evolution throughout time. You seem much more comfortable in front of the camera and everything just seems more professional. Keep it up!

  • @kyleman1313 Technology like this for home automation has been around since early 2000... Do a Google search for HAL (Home Automated Living). It lets you control almost every aspect of your home with voice recognition.

  • There is no reason why Apple can't make Siri process the voice commands locally on the phone without relying on their servers. This is just Apples way of keeping control of your device.... As for improvements, it would be nice if Siri had better implementation of commands for correcting dictation mistakes; just like Dragon Naturally Speaking. Having this is important for users like me with a disability. It keeps everything hands-free!

  • He started smoking dope. That's what happened

  • what happened with you buddy :(

  • @nandor690 Your comment clearly means nothing, because you don't know how to reply to comments on YouTube. Hah.

  • @wildcard50 and vlingo is on the iPhone as well :-)

  • Wildcard50 lol, this coming from an android fan. Your opinion means nothing.

  • I believe that Siri is the first step towards automated intelligence assistance. I imagine that somewhere in the near future, homes will be integrated with more advanced AI software similar to siri. And the thought alone is pretty darn cool!

  • U mad
