I bought four of these and now the one I had in the bathroom, the LED has gone out. Had them for under a year. No way the LED lasted the 80000 to 100000 hours the company said it should last. Oh, well. On to the next best thing..........

Same problem here, they work great until the power goes out.

@survivalpodcasting -how many months? Who knows maybe we have had more power outages than most. I switched to a Coleman rechargeable lantern. 5 years old and still going 12 hours on a charge (with a replaceable batter). It also charges from your car in a pinch. Let us know how long these last for you. I am working on a refurbishing pattern for these if anyone wants to donate broken units to me.

I picked this up at Sams as well, and of the 9 units (3 3pks) I think only 2 are working now,.. and both are faint. They have a great product,.. but the batteries do not last...

I have these all over my house, they are GREAT for power outages. The ones I have are different, I got mine at CVS, but they work great. I have them laid out around the house so it gives me a light all the way around the floors of my house, right out to my solar backup power in the garage.
These are terrible. I bought 6 (2008). Within 12 months 4 of 6 were dead. Now they have all failed. My father-in-law had the same luck. The flashlight is dim. Sylvania’s says 7 hours I got 20-30 minutes of dim light. The battery is a tiny coin-cell LIMH can-pack with only 110mah. The charging current was too high and made these bulge and fail. The unit is impossible to take apart to replace the battery.
Don’t waste your time on this unit.

Got a pack of these at Sams and were great while they lasted. I'd give them a few months at best. Someone should make some with a replaceable and rechargeable AA battery. Then you won't have a $10 night light once they die.

@Gutter22 - Sorry to hear that you got poor results. I have 4 of them in the house, two have been here about six months, the other two almost a year now. They all still work fine for me.

@harryogre
Yes that was Max the new dog chugging water. It was the third take with him "contributing" and it was the least annoying of the three.
