"The 600 reasons why I created the Dhaka Project"

Maria has 32 years, was born in Vila Franca de Xira, lives in Dubai and works as a hostess for Emirates Airlines.

In 2005, her first visit Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh, the shock was so big that she could not remain indifferent.

Created the Dhaka Project, an NGO with the aim of breaking the cycle of poverty she saw. A project that began by supporting 39 children includes currently 600.

As a result of this humanitarian work won the award for Woman of the Year 2009 in Dubai, awarded by "Emirates Women Magazine." In 2007, already had won the category of "Women Exceptionally Innovative and Creative" Network of Women Inventors and Innovative European Union.

Continues with the same energy and already have new projects to build solidarity.
