Wimpole on Anglia TV

Back in the day when we were average, we played a cup game against a team who were 4 leagues above us. We were losing 18-0 when the referee popped up at a corner and scored a volley for us, as a joke. He then cheered and ran to the centre circle for kick off. As the game was a cup game, there was no issue of goal difference, and We were clearly not going to pull the game back, and everyone saw the funny side of it. However the FA did not and suspended the referee, and then took away his badges. The story went national, being reported in the Sun and the Mirror, and was then covered on Anglia Television. The team was asked if they could do a mock training session for the cameras, and were then filmed for the next 30 mins taking shots at goal. Although there were some goals scored, Anglia thought it would be funny to put all the worst clips (fair enough), they also failed to mention the team were several divisions above us.
