What I carry:

Over the years I've tried many handguns including Glock, Sig, XD, 1911 and others but I keep coming back to the XD platform. The XD9 XD40 or XD45 will serve you very well and in any length barrel (3" subcompact, 4" service / compact or 5" tactical / long barrel) I do not like the looks of the XDM however as they look too much like "toys" in my opinion with the giant "XDM" marked on the grip and all the grip gashes and stippling.


I like the fit and finish of the GALCO IWB holster however as I mentioned the thumb break is wrong for me and is somewhat uncompfortable to wear. The Uncle MIkes Sidekick is very compfortable hoever it lacks a top strap.
