What's the significance of this lift?

Men's Fitness Magazine says if you do just double your weight once you are a "beast":

I usually use the 1 rep max formula 1 for checking out my max below, but if anyone is got any better ones, please send my way:

And here is a deadlifting chart, "advanced"..oh yeah!

  • Crazy man...I'm fairly new to 811 and sick of the "skinny" comments. I'm your weight but not toned/strong at all. Wondering how long you trained for this and whether you full out hit the gym or just do deadlifting mostly? How many fruit cals you pumping in a day? Thanks :)

  • @zefside84 just this last summer and really I haven't been full force as I like. I was really slacking, but now I'm gaining more than what I expected on it. I'm going to hit 400 lb soon (pinch me)! This is relative a new lift compared to other lifts I been doing for YEARS, those are coming, lol! You will want to watch those. 2500-3000, but more or less depending on my activities. Go get your lift and fruit on man, you'll love it!

  • You've got some mad strength my friend! I want to convert to a raw vegan diet for health reasons and I'm trying to ease in slowly. I'm a power-lifter as well and I was worried about not being able to keep as well as gain strength and muscle on a raw plant-based diet. All I can say is you busted that myth! Keep up the heavy lifting!!

  • @TheLonelyLumberJack THANK YOU, it really means a lot to me coming from a fellow powerlifter. I haven't even put my bench/squats up, now those will definitely get some attention, lol. I know it sounds bananas (well, in the most literally sense), but you have just give it ago. Doing is believing, so do it 100% and then tell the world about it. They have to know! I just was doing reps of 315, 320, and 325 for my sets yesterday. I really think I can hit 400 lb this year.

  • You're awesome :-)

  • @fruitandstrength :)

Question...are you actually tracking your cals? That seems a bit low for someone who's pumping that much weight or is that just a ballpark figure?

  • i remember when i was 13 and i thought 295 was alot

  • @hypnos315 maybe because I recorded it on an angle?

  • @hypnos315 :)

  • @shannondangc thanks. :)
