Portland Police Questioning a Marine?

There has been a little bit of controversy in Portland as to whether this guy is a Marine or not with some people saying he was carrying a airsoft pistol although other people say he was genuine.

He's not a US Marine. The USMC does not have that uniform in the United States. It's a Multicam variant sewn and cut like a traditional Marine Uniform. Google Marpat.

@SnowmanBiggz Part of the individual "charters" for JROTC programs IS patches on the uniforms. Ive been involved directly with two high school JROTC programs after I left the Corps as well as the old LA County Sheriff "Devil Pup" program prior to my joining the Corps. I have some exerience. This guy is NOT any JROTC or ROTC cadet. He is a random idiot wearing a partial USMC utility uniform.

@VoodooPolitico i have seen multiple schools with a JROTC that go without patches for months due to lack of funds my school happened to be one of them for my freshman and sophomore years. and when i did drill competitions in vegas against other schools there were a few without patches so it depends on the place and the funds. im just trying to say to learn the back story of something before you go judging people

NOT an active duty Marine. NOT a Marine reservist. NOT any sort of JRROTC/ROTC program. He is just some random asshole wearing a partial Marine "style" utility uniform. Its THAT simple.

@SnowmanBiggz "Naval" JROTC all have brightly colored patches on the shoulders of the "utility" uniforms they wear. This guy is no ROTC. He is just some random fucktard trying to look like a real Marine.

ITS OBVIOUS that the guy is NOT a real Marine. ANYBODY can buy that uniform at any "Army/Navy" store. He looks like he is 20 years old, yet the rank insignia he has on his lapels shows that he is claiming to be at least a MasterSgt. Marines are NOT allowed to wear utilities in public anyways. Not to mention the holster and knife that looks like a K-Bar. Im SURE the cops know that he isnt a real Marine.

the gun doesnt even matter. he's wearing black boots and they should be tan, his cover (hat) just came out of the package he bought it in, and for someone wearing a uniform as simple as cammies he looks like shit. also there should be an eagle globe & anchor on that cover

It doesn't matter what he was carrying. It is against Marine Corps Regs to walk around in public wearing utilities. We are also not allowed to carry weapons of any kind, or to chew gum while in uniform. This guy is so phony he makes a $3 bill look real.
