Thanks for the inspiration! I am currently shooting for 700lbs. for 5 reps. I'll keep trying. Thank you!

@Cowclone whats your weight and height just curious
-
@Cowclone I can do like 4 reps with 405... its fucking painful haha
-
@roebuckk How many sets are you doing? Just the one? I know there is a lot of research out there saying that one is enough, but I'm wondering what worked for you.

awesome video man

i think people focus on deadlighting to much...i only deadlift on back days ever other week...i started a couple months ago and 155 was hard...i never go past 315 cos i think like bench press its overated but i started then doing less than 200 for one and now i can rep out 315 for 12 and i only weigh 160lbs...if your gonnna try to deadlift a shit ton dont feel like you have to do 100 sets all the time i do 3 sets every other week and i went from 150-400 in a few months.

Do you ever scrape your shins with the bar? happens to me often :(

Anyone else think his feet are a little close together? Especially on the 400 deadlift attempts o.O
-
Nice, My deadlift max is 385 right now as a freshmen. I'm hopen to hit 405+ next winter when powerlifting comes around again.

My highest was 325lbs 2 perfect reps. I stopped lifting though so I can lose weight for the military.
I take weight training in school, but they won't let us one rep max yet, instead they make us to max reps of a certain weight. I got 295 lbs. in for 11 reps, they estimated my deadlift to be 405. I really want to actually try and do it :) plus I'm only 17 so I hope I can greatly improve through the rest of my junior then senior highschool years

that's about right because my max is 405 and my best reps for 315 was 9...good luck with it...work up progressively and you'll be there before you know it

I was training the deadlift only once a week. I usually pyramid up 135x12; 225x8; 315x4; 360x2; 385-400x1 then back down maxing my reps. the key was to keep progressing to ever heavier weight and reps.

NICE! You don't look 52. What do you do besides deadlift? Do you stick mostly to compound movements. Was the 20 lbs. of mass due to low reps and singles or volume? I just hit 400 2 weeks ago (though I definately don't have the mass you have). I've recently had a lot of success with singles, rest-pause singles, and other super low rep schemes. Kubiks Dinosaur Training is awesome. Check it out.

thanks, turn 53 next week. I do mostly the big three squats, bench, deadlift doing low reps heavy weight.
