Lol well it looks like we're just going to have to say to each his own.

actually right now vw builds the saftey cars considering their picked more now for high way saftey.... but volvo does make safe cars. and ha.. i'd feel much safer in my moms honda accord then a chevy impala..or chevy malibu
-
But you'll be alive, Volvos are my 1st choice when it comes to safety reeeeegardless! I can't say the same for Japanese or, as it pains me to say it, any American built car.

Thats great, my family had american cars, but disliked them greatly, and started owning hondas and acuras, and my aunt even works for toyota, and makes great money. the hondas have never had problem when we had them, and to be honest, being the only in my family to own a volvo, quite nervous, esp if i get into an accident. it'll costr more to fix then what i bought it for.

No doubt. In their defense, I've had 4 GM trucks all bought new and everyone made it to at least 450,000 miles before it needed any mechanical alteration i.e. new alternator, water pump, or steering pump. And I have a new 2009 CTS-V which I traded my 2007 BMW M6 on, and a '97 Buick Century which I've owned since new and is a mileage record holder currently has 842k original miles, and the only work done on it has been a water pump, thermostat, and A/C compressor. They've always been there for me

No how about mainting on their cars and serving the people right with good cars. GM laughed at honda/toyota, now look. Even now, ford made the same mistake, when motortrend asked for a GT, to compare the gensis, they said nooo, and hyundia was all for it.
Yes, time will tell.

I would agree, its just the UAW deserves no leiniancy in my book. Plus I'd say any aggressive company needs to be worried about their stock prices etc. as it is a primary source of income. But alas GM is now bankrupt and poorly restructured :( so only time will tell now.

Ha, i love how you changed from ford owning volvo, and their profits, to gm. but i do agree, gm is extremely important, but i dont support helping a company that wasnt worried about its people, but its stock and profits.

I follow you perfectly, but what the common man takes home and spends pales in comparison to GM's investment side of business. GM has to invest its money in new and stable markets and that does a whole lot more than all of the take home pay of all the employees all together. It all comes down to where the companies are headquartered b/c that's where the bulk of profits gets reinvested. I understand what you're saying and its valid, its just HQ makes bigger waves with more money and investments

No. you havent, if the car is built here, the people who built it, get payed, not like gm where its mexico. Now follow me, if the builder gets paid, he has a family, then he spends money, in america, on other things. its a cycle.
Great video. Love my Buick and look forward to seeing the next generation LaCrosse at the dealership. Between the next Taurus, Pontiac G8 GT, 2010 LaCrosse, and Cadillac CTS there are plenty of great domestic vehicles out there for consideration.
