i was hoping to document my progress with tabata burpees today, as for the last 2 weeks i have been consistently getting 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5 or better (once got 8, 8.5, 8.5, 8.5, 8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5!) with not much of a rest after before i could get up and walk again (about 1-2 min).

however, today i got 8, 8.5, 8.5, 8, 8, 7.5, 7, 6.5* and was very tired after. :( and i had to rest for like 30 minutes. it was a rough weekend and i lacked sleep somewhat. but i gave it my all, and i hope to improve yet and also that this inspires you to keep trying hard with me. thanks

*i count getting at least a kick-out as a half

  • are these the only things you do for your cardio? and how often?

    do you warm up and cooldown also? if so, how?

  • @sumtingw0ng i do this last after strength exercises, so i'm somewhat warm by then, although i don't do anything for legs really, which is probably bad. i do stretch my legs and shake them out a bit before, but i don't warm up a lot. afterwards i catch my breath then walk some, but it's hard to cool down if i give it my all, i mostly just want to lay there

    I'm guessing your nutrition must be good or at least decent then?

  • @sumtingw0ng i am not super strict about it or an expert by any means, but i think i eat well. i haven't eaten meat for about 13 years, and only recently began eating fish again in the past 6 years. i definitely don't eat junk or snack food except maybe pizza sometimes. i try to eat vegetables mostly, avoiding fried things or baked goods, and i don't drink soda or coffee, just water and sometimes tea. i don't really follow any sort of plan for eating, but if i eat wrong i immediately feel it

  • pretty impressive....I did 4 tabatas in an hour, thats 4 sets of 8 ..And I'm 46 years old not in a very good shape like you...
