Actually, for a short time in the 80s, channel 11 only employed news personnel who were between 2 1/2 and 3 inches tall. They thought smaller on-air talent would translate into smaller salaries. It later abandoned this policy following a class action lawsuit, and realizing retro-fitting restroom fixtures was cost prohibitive.
