What you morons don't realize that Cheney was talking about the first Gulf War. Different goals, different wars.
In 1991 the goal was evict Iraq out of Kuwait.
Who knows what the goal for the invasion of Iraq back in 1991.
Mr. Cheney's point for the first was was that we didn't intend to occupy Iraq to keep it from fragmenting. That wasn't true for the second conflict.
9/11 change the way of thinking. Saddam had to be removed, quagmire or not.

Wow. I know all politicians are two faced, but Cheney really seems human and compassionate here. It's hard to believe this is the same sociopath who was our vice president from 2001-2009.
