  • The locomotive looks like a Stanz 0-4-0. I have one in European G scale (1:22.5). One question. Why does it have a tender (besides the obvious driver platform)? my G-Scale model doesn't.

  • First - this loco isn't a Stainz 0-4-0. It's a very small Koppel build light railway locomotive, original build without tender. My railroad uses an aux. tender to enlarge the work radius of the locomotive. Long sub divisions without any watertower or coaling facility will need large capacity for coal and water. At last, the engineer (myself) has to ride on something behind the loco =).

Meanwhile, the loco was rebuild into a logging style 0-4-4 Forney with aux. water car - visist my HP for pics

  • Oh. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Very fine loco. Looks and sounds like my 6" gauge 0-4-0WT O&K loco in 1:5 scale.

  • Sehr schön! Mehr bitte!
