Tried to reduce as many variables to show a comparison of OFF mode and SP3 mode. Here are the controlled factors: Used D mode instead of S mode to show shifting done by car CPU instead of driver, stepped on pedal 90-100% from 0-50mph.

Differences that can be seen: Car CPU uses all of the RPM range in SP3 mode vs OFF mode, [really subtle difference]initial RPM jumps a little quicker in SP3 mode than OFF mode.

Differences I noticed that can't be seen: The initial instant jolt when starting in SP3 mode vs OFF mode, once reached 50 mph and foot is on pedal to cruise pressing the pedal lightly will accelerate the car in SP3 mode vs having to press the pedal a lot further to accelerate in OFF mode.

  • Do you honestly think it makes that much of a diff? Its hard to really tell based on a vid (What does your ass feel when you go from Eco to SP3) Also not to be a prick but the Fit is low on power so it's hard to really see the diff

  • it definitely makes a difference in fun factor! and no the fit is not slow, i have 87 HamsterPower!! :-p yes it is a slow car and it is hard to tell in the video, but the driver and possibly passengers will definitely notice the difference from eco and sp3 mode.

  • theres no HP gain all it does it open the throttle plate to your choice.......for better throttle response thats all it well worth it also

  • Has to be a butt dyno feel as the video looks/sounds the same for both settings. Nice sound though from the intake.

  • Hi,

R u able to show us another test by stepping & hold the gas pedal, say at 2500rpm and then see the responsiveness by changing from eco to sp3 mode?? Thanks.

  • i'll get one tomorrow

    thx for ur info
