Sync and Backup using Kies first. Loss of data is not my responsibility as I have warned you at the beginning of the video and what you are reading right now.

There are 3 levels of "root" we can define:
Level 1: Shell Root (with ratc rooting the adb shell but no /system write access)
Level 2: Temporary Root (/system/bin/su installed but lost on reboot)
Level 3: Full Root (/system/bin/su installed and sticks)

ALL COMPATIBLE DEVICES HAVE LEVEL 3 ROOT BY USING S.O.C

S.O.C Compatibility List:

Acer Liquid Metal
Dell Streak
HTC Magic (Sapphire) 32B
HTC Bee
LG Ally
Motorola Charm
Motorola Cliq
Motorola Droid
Motorola Flipside
Motorola Flipout
Motorola Milestone
Nexus One
Samsung Captivate
Samsung Galaxy 551 (GT-I5510)
Samsung Galaxy Portal/Spica I5700
Samsung Galaxy S I9000
Samsung Galaxy S SCH-I500
Samsung Galaxy Tab
Samsung Transform M920
Samsung Vibrant
Sony Ericsson Xperia E51i X8
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
Sprint Hero
Telus Fascinate

S.O.C Incompatibility List (These require NAND unlocking, follow steps from http://www.unrevoked.com :

Sprint EVO 4G (HTC Supersonic)
Droid Incredible (HTC Incredible)
HTC Desire GSM
HTC Desire CDMA (HTC BravoC)
HTC Aria
Droid Eris (HTC DesireC)
HTC Wildfire (HTC Buzz)
MyTouch 3G 32A
T-Mobile (HTC) G2

NAND lock means that the system prevents you from writing to the /system of your device, so it cannot copy su, sqlite or busybox to /system/bin. These files are crucial in the process of rooting, interrupting this process means not being able to mount the drive as a Superuser each time you boot up your device.

  • @Shadar22 LOL if you really thought I put viruses into this, then you're pretty daft...many people use this to root their tabs, if you don't believe me, I'll be glad if you google SuperOneClick and its everywhere, the one in my description is the one i used in my video, and people use it on theirs and got it working. If you think theres a virus, I think you should check your antivirus settings...also, notice how i show you all the steps with my camera...not those stupid text videos. Enjoy :)
