▓ The Wishing Tree -- Starring Danny Bates as Dany ▓

This is the 1993 pilot from a (very) short-lived Canadian teen coming-of-age drama produced by Cinar in association with Robadeux filmè.

It stars the now-ubiquitous Danny Bates in his first non-pornographic role as the innocent, sweet-faced Dany, and veteran off-Broadway acteur Herb Cocks as an old sage-like tree.

The work was very poorly received in almost every market, except for in Quebec where one can still stumble down an old cobble-stone alley to one of Quebec's nearly infinite souvenir shoppes and purchase a screen-printed Dany sweatshirt or a Tree visor.
