  • ...Nobody else dreams like this half the time? Whoa. You guys wouldn't survive a night in my head. <3

  • the director made the film in memory of his wife who committed suicide. The cat with half a soul is supposed to symbolize her depression, and the male cat is supposed to represent her husband, doing everything he can to make her well again. The ending, where everyone turns off like a television, is supposed to represent death, and how inevitable it is. Even through that long quest, the cat could not prevent his sister's death in the end.

  • You motherfucker it's supposed to be sad I was laughing so hard at 3:30

  • The fish ate his feces so he doesn't want to eat himself in a sense but he forces the pig to eat himself. He ate the same fish's eye on the beach which others wanted for food... they don't care what the fish has eaten since it is only fish. Not sure what the dead pregnant creature entirely meant except that basically with the life cycle, in death we continue to make knew life. He observed this which made him decide against fish, a favorite of cats.

    =I have no idea

  • The girl cat makes me sad :(

  • i like it but its the prove... asiatic has problems in his brains

  • @SlymeGreen I'm starting to think, and I am probably wrong, that the man, when trying to keep his wife alive (much like Nyatta and his sister, acknowledged his own "self-interest" in doing so. Perhaps he wasn't so much doing it for his wife and for her life, but for himself because he needed her. So he was sort of a sadist, with the creepy bondage guy a condensed personification of this, in expecting her to continue to suffer just so he could be with her. Just my two cents there.

  • Okay, when I first watched this I must admit I the first thing on my mind was drugs. But, I'm starting to see something here. If it is true that this story has to do with the guys wife, Nekojiru, and her suicide, I think I sort of understand. Everything in this universe is driven by self-interest. The circus, the sadist, the samurais stripping that fish to the bone, etc. Even Nyatta demonstrates some sadism in what he does to the pig and the birds. -continued in next post-
