I have an 07 cobalt and went up against a 07 civic I smoked that POS. honda has its ups and its downs, but where honda lacks chevy picks up. the cobalt drive train is must better than any honda I have come across. they do not have any torque. the suspension is better stock or after market, honda may be cheap to fix but you dont want to keep on fixing something every week. THATS WHY I LOVE GENERAL MOTORS

And cobalts arnt POS, sure they are a pain in the ass to work on, but with 800 dollars i am already outrunning modified S2000, turbo civics and hanging with trans am's, (hanging with not beating) Cars are only based on preferences, u cant prove which cars are better.... no point in arguing your opinions

Flex pipe!!! my car did this, didnt buy a new pipe, but simply weld the old one back in, its weird how gm did it but easy fix if u have a wlder

Wow! Now i having this sound to ...
Do you find out your problem?

Chain maybe?

I had kinda the same problem.... only it happened at a higher RPM, kinda sounded like the engine was crackling... Took it into chevy dealership and they took it apart and said the cylinder sleeve came loose and the engine was fucked! So the replace the engine and it still does it... So if you find out y urs is doing that please let me know. Also do you have the stage 2 in it???

@Reggie074 haha k honda engines are built pretty solid but again the tranny and drivetrain in these cars are terrible and don't last long at all. you get pros and cons in both cars. if you want something fast and reliable get an ss. if you want something not so fast but will keep its value and are planning on selling in the future get a honda

@MicroOrginisum dude i own this car. trust me there is no engine cover accept for a small plastic piece over the fuel rail the says supercharged on it. all of the other models have it but not the supercharged or turbocharged version. And you clearly see it in this vid there isn't an engine cover.

@bettermaxim Yeah they do. They cover it up to where you cant see the engine. It just has the emblem and a bunch of
Plastic.
You know what for all you cry baby bitches out there IF YOU DONT LIKE COBALTS DONT WATCH THE VIDEOS THEN. i dont like a lot of cars so i dont watch the videos. i personally own a cobalt ss sc and i smoke the shit out of hondas ALL DAY. so if your brother or uncle of sister or whoever has a honda wants to race a cobalt ss sc im in colorado so post a message on here and ill give you directions to come to me otherwise dont leave stupid ass messages

@redthunder2006 The honda motor itself is impressive engineering, that is of course if it it was actually honda that created v-tec to begin with... which they didnt and improved on the older design they purchased. regardless the honda motor has little torque at low rpms. Not having any type of vvt hurts these motors starting performance. At high rpms though, having the ability to get much more of an aggressive cam curve can be very beneficial. With that said. a "light weight" honda can

Respond to this video... can very well beat almost anything with an agressive cam profile... but this is NOT done by factory. Saying you walk on hondas all day... is very plausible. but if you were to go against a supercharged rsx-type s..... prepare yourself for a challenge since your vvt is NOT aggressive enough at higher rpms. happy debating =)

Chevy colbalts are nothing special. An SS would not survive in the long run. My friend owns a colbat 2007 SS and it has 87kms on it. He told me there pieces of shit and didn't last long. Man my civic is better in quailty and drivetrain. Hands down it wins in mpg. And WTF the car dosn't look good from any angle :( aleast GM could of done was give it a refresh and come out with a new model. Better resale vaule :) Hondas are in there own league. Dont fight it, just fight that clutch in ur car.

@Reggie074 Hello! i am not bashing you in any way whats so ever.i actually would like to compliment on how you mention honda engines are built to last....this is true =) how ever...when it comes to the full drivetran assembly, there transmissions lack greatly in there syncro's. this is an engineering flaw with most hondas even to date =)
