NEWS: French President Nicolas Sarkozy has opened a new French military base on the banks of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, between the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf. This is France's first permanent base in the region.

@scarff94 hello.i'm half norman.and i can tell you that the northmen were a band of raiders that were given a territory(that was named normandy for this reason).they ruled on it but didn't really represent the all normandy.after a few generation they were mixed with the local population that was..french..then, william conquered england,yes. william was purely of norse blood.but his army was french.then,the plantagenet family was not norman.england normdy and aquitaine were just their heirdom.

and britain is more of a power military wise, but in need of new equipment.

And you should know that there is a lot of french soldiers all over africa so thats why there isn't much french soldiers in astan but im done with debating about my coutry.

correction mate, the normans ruled over england for centuries, normans arent french, normans meaning northmen are vikings who colononised normandie around 800AD, so it wasnt the french who ruled england it was was northmen again :)

and england ruled northern france for centuries.

and india which is massive compared to england. and england beat the french just as much as the french beat the english, pretty equal, though nowadays britain is doing far more military wise.
