cool tutorial :)...just a bit complex as i am a new beginner for 3ds max...however i found DAZ very easy since mostly are rendered for you rather than the fact u have to start all from scrap.

@Doclolwut Sound to me like you might have messed up the mapping. At 5:40 Death499 instructs us to hit "U" twice which brings up the UVW Map modifier. Where as Death499 chose cylindrical you should go with spherical which is just below. That should solve your problem.

Great tutorial... however I did this with a sphere and half of the sphere was one color and half of it was a different... why?

Why doens't max just have a glass material in its library?
